On Sunday, 24th September, PCAS held it’s 5th General Meeting of 2023. 15 adults and 11 young people attended the meeting which was a success with 3 new members joining the association.

Fatou (Portsmouth Women Alliance), was a special guest at the meeting. During the meeting, she spoke about the upcoming Black History Month in October and invited PCAS members to join in the planning of the event that is to be celebrated across the city of Portsmouth and nationwide with the theme for this year being, ‘Sisterhood’.

Other updates during the meeting included a grant award of £680 by Asda Foundation to PCAS to support the association and it’s members organise their month meetings during this high cost of living crisis.

Next General Meeting is on October 29th at Stamshaw and Tipner Community Centre, Portsmouth.

Over 140 people joined the Portsmouth Cameroonians last Sunday, 21st May to celebrate the country’s National Day.

Amongst the guest was the newly elected Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Portsmouth. The Lord Mayor had this to say about the event, ” It was our honour to join the Portsmouth Cameroonians to celebrate their National Day. Thank you very much for your hospitality and a warm welcome. The children were absolutely adorable with their performances. “

On Sunday, 30th April, PCAS held it’s 4th General Meeting of year with 21 adults and 16 young people attended the meeting.

On Sunday, 21 May 2023 Portsmouth Cameroonians will be celebrating the country’s National Day at the Stamshaw and Tipner Community Centre, Portsmouth, UK.

Come and see our culture, values and have a taste of Cameroonian food. :).
